LinuxFest Northwest 2015

Bellingham, WA April 25th & 26th

Adventures in using Embedded Linux for Automotive Electronics

A senior team of award winning connected vehicle solutions engineers must use Linux for the first time on the most complicated system they have ever built.  What could go wrong?

Qualnetics Chief Technical Officer and Telematics industry veteran, Mark Moeller, discusses his teams experience in doing their first Linux project while creating their Road-iQ VS platform.  He will discuss the costs and benefits his team experienced, the missteps they made, and in retrospect, what the team would have done differently.  He will also discuss some of the issues of doing an automotive grade system on top of a code base that isn't consistently up to automotive quality standards.

You'll get to see a cool demo of one of the most advanced Telematics systems in existence today, made right here in Bellingham at Qualnetics.
